Superb example of scarce Prop Flying Robot car manufactured by Asahi, Japan. Friction drive motor creates siren sound while simultaneously the three blade rear propeller spins. Intricate mechanism features working propeller!  

Lithographed tinplate construction with chrome accessories, original celluloid windshield and rubber tires (with all four hubcaps). Mercedes style automobile finished in red with light blue lithographed rockets on front fenders and hood. Large number "3" on quarter panels and hood.  

Trimmed with chrome plated fender rails, grille, Mercedes hood ornament, and rear bumper. ATC (manufacturer's) logo appears just above the rear bumper.

Propeller has three plastic blades with metal hub and tinplate rotation housing. 

Classic blockhead style robot finished in embossed light blue tinplate and detailed with rivets, facial features and original coiled metal spring hair-do and ears. Complete with original metal steering wheel and plated windshield frame. Chassis underside finished in solid black and is one continuous plate. 

Beautiful example complete and all original  without any replaced parts or touch-up. 

Last commensurate example of this toy (I've seen) was lot 294 from Sotheby's Griffith Robot collection sold December, 2000.
